K-1 Development Program

K-1 Development is open to 8-10 yr old children who have ambitions of moving in to the K-1 and K - 2 Programs in the years to come. This program is an introductory step into competitive ski racing. Children will be exposed to new and challenging training environments including free skiing trips, drill courses and a number if different race styles. The goal is develop children into confident and independant skiers and show them how to have fun in a competitive ski environment.

We offer a three day per week program. Wednesday night at COP and weekends are spent at Nakiska or away at races.

The minimum requirement for registration to the program is a Husky Snow Stars Level 3.

The on-snow program begins in Mid-November and runs through till the end of March. We also offer weekly dryland sessions from September until on-snow training starts. This includes a six week block of gymnastics.

Start Date for 2009/ 10:  Dryland - Saturday 12th September;  On snow - as soon as the snow arrives- usually mid November.
