Kinder Development

KD Program

Kinder Development (KD) is a program that is open to 8 and 10 yr old children (age by December 31) who have ambitions of moving in to the FAST K1 or JBT programs in the years to come. This program continues as an introductory step into competitive ski racing. Children will be exposed to new and challenging training environments including free skiing trips, drill courses and a number of different race styles. The goal is develop children into confident and independent skiers and show them how to have fun in a competitive ski environment.

The program starts in the end of November and includes three days of skiing each week. There is an evening training session at COP and weekend training at Nakiska or away at races. Fall dryland sessions are also scheduled for this group during September and October. It is recommended that athletes have participated in our Nancy Greene Plus program or ski to minimum of a Husky Snowstars level 4. The recommended ski passes are a Nakiska pass and a COP pass.
