THE PATH TO HIGH PERFORMANCE STARTS HERE.
A blend of free-flowing, all-mountain skiing with a strong foundation in technical development. “How old is that kid?” It’s the question our coaches hear time and again as these young athletes confidently tackle terrain that seems far beyond their years.
The intentional mix of free skiing with technical development and gate training is quite effective. Our playful approach keeps athletes engaged and excited, while quietly building the precision and control they’ll carry for years to come. Along the way, they form lasting friendships and discover just how much joy a pair of skis can bring. The mountain is our playground and we use every inch of it to nurture confidence, competence and a love for the sport.
“Our son has loved skiing with Calgary Alpine the past three years, growing in skill and confidence. We’re so grateful to the the amazing coaches for their guidance and support, which helped him improve greatly and even win a couple of races last season. ”

ADVENTURE-FUELED SKI DEVELOPMENT.
From tree skiing and gate-ripping runs to jumps, bumps, powder turns and carving, the adventure never stops—nor does the growth of our ski superpowers. Training starts in September with high-energy dryland sessions mixing conditioning with “ninja warrior” cross-training, then by November we’re on snow and don’t look back.
A Christmas Camp, a Fernie family free-ski weekend and about four races add variety, challenge and new terrain to explore. Our motto: “We can do anything on a pair of skis”—and this crew is here to prove it.
“Growing up with Calgary Alpine has not only built up my child’s confidence on and off the hill, but it has also given our family a community that will last a lifetime.”

JOY IN EVERY TURN, SKILL IN EVERY RUN.
Building on the foundations of U8 and U10, athletes now launch into speed, precision and confidence. With growing maturity and strength, they’re eager to push limits and feel the need for speed. The season kicks off with dryland training in September, followed by a few warm-up days at Nakiska, a technical away camp, a Christmas camp, and a family free-ski weekend in Fernie, adding volume, variety and momentum throughout.
Focused drills, technical free skiing and video analysis sharpen skills and deepen understanding, while complex course sets across varied terrain bulletproof technique. By season’s end, athletes can take on any course anywhere anytime, with confidence they’re proud to show.
“Both my kids have grown up with Calgary Alpine, gaining skills and confidence on snow. The sense of family that they have is something I cannot accurately describe. They will have these friends for life and an activity they can enjoy with them for life.”

BUILDING RESILIENT, RACE-READY ATHLETES.
Where limits are pushed, camaraderie grows and racing begins in earnest. The season kicks off in September with dryland training, a mix of conditioning and cross-training that builds athleticism and team spirit. Once the snow falls, athletes dive into a packed calendar: training at Nakiska, a November away camp, a Christmas camp and a family ski weekend in Fernie—all before mid-January.
Our coaches deliver the volume and variety to shape well-rounded, confident racers, blending technical free skiing, gate sessions, video analysis and timed runs on increasingly challenging terrain. Athletes are introduced to Super-G and ski cross, developing speed skills like aerodynamics, gliding and line strategy while taking full advantage of Nakiska’s world-class slopes and permanent ski cross track. Over the season, they gain valuable experience in varied snow conditions and competitive settings, while away trips and free skiing offer time to bond, laugh and create lasting friendships.
“An incredible environment where young athletes are supported and challenged to reach their full potential. The incredible Coaches are truly invested in helping each child perform their best. The club fosters a positive culture where kids build confidence and lasting friendships. We love being part of a community that feels like family.”
